Tralee Women's Resource Centre We are a drop in centre that provides support, information and active listening to women who come into the centre, with particular responsibility in the area of violence against women. The support worker is to provide a bridge to other services such as ADAPT, Kerry Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre, Gardai, Court Clerk, Citizens Information Centre etc. It is not our aim to duplicate other services but to reach women who might for whatever reason not access the other services independently. The support worker will also be involved in raising awareness on the issues of violence against women.

Listening and Support service. We have a 'quiet room' where we offer privacy with a support worker. The support workers will provide active listening. She will give the women information so that she knows her options. We also provide referral and/ accompaniment to other organisations such as gardai, women's refuge, court clerk and to meetings with agencies eg housing authorities to meet individual needs. We support women with form filling/letter writing and give information on benefits and entitlements. We offer crisis pregnancy counselling.
